PFN is not a political party says Bishop Ezedebego

The Anambra state chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Moses Ezedebego has said that PFN is not a political party or a gathering of politicians, but that it is rather a gathering or a fellowship of the saints for the purpose of encouraging one another and carrying the Gospel to those who had not heard it before.

The bishop made the clarification during the official inauguration of the newly elected Ekwusigo local government area chapter of PFN at the Ozubulu Divisional Headquarters of Grace of God Mission International.

Bishop Ezedebego urged members of PFN to return to the core objectives of the fellowship, which he said is to love one another irrespective of denomination and to join hands in preaching the Gospel.

He condemned the activities of some church leaders that preach division among Christians. "There is no denomination in heaven," he said. Adding that "all these names we answer here are thought out human beings. When we go for judgment, God will not accept or reject you because of your denomination. Neither will He receive you because you come from the denomination with the majority of the member, or that you come from No1 or No2 denomination."

The state chairman of PFN also charged members to be positively relevant in any field of human endeavors they find themselves be it politics, law, business or education.

He also added that they must equip their children with a good education and upbringing so that they will be better positioned to compete with their peers in the future.

Inaugurating the officers elect among whom were Rev Christian Osondu (Chairman) Pastor Wilson Igwegbo (Secretary) Pastor Daniel Obibueze ( Financial Secretary), among others. Ezedebego charged them to mobilize members and ministers of Pentecostal churches in Ekwusigo local government area for the sake of unity and preaching the Gospel and supporting PFN programs.

He also called on the members to give the newly inaugurated executives maximum support.

Bishop Ezedebego later administered on them the oath of office, prayed for them, and gave them certificates. About N1.5m was realized from donors for the purchase of land, for the building of the PFN local government Secretariate.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion include His Royal Majesty, Jude Onunkwo, Ezendigbo Cotonou, and the MD/CEO Seahorse (Nigeria)Ltd, who was represented by Barrister Uchem Obi, Group Captain Nnamdi Nnoruka, represented by Apostle Joe Ugwumba.
