Man 28 Kills Wife, Daughter In Anambra

Police operatives in the Anambra State Command have arrested a twenty eight year old young man for allegedly killing his wife and daughter

Haruna Mohammed (CSP) the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO of the Anambra State Command revealed this in a press statement.

He said that aboutn the 7:45pm on Tuesday, police operatives attached to Ozubulu Police Station, arrested twenty eight year old Chukwuemeka Obijofa of Ofufe Nza village in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State who allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained and attacked his wife, one Chisom Chukwuemeka, 'f', aged 26 years, and own child, named Amanda Chukwuemeka, 'm', aged 4 years, both of same address, with a shovel on their heads.

Mohammed said that the suspect equally used same object and wounded a vigilante man who tried to rescue the victims. 

The PPRO said police detectives visited the scene and rushed victims to the Joint Hospital, Ozubulu, for medical attention where the two victims were certified dead by a medical doctor on arrival.

He said that the wounded vigilante is responding to treatment, while the corpses of the victims were deposited at the hospital's morgue for autopsy.
