Anambra Ex Commissoner Harps On Justice, Equity
The former Anambra State Commissioner for Youths and Sport, Hon Ezeakukwu Emmanuel Nsoedo (Akukwu Nnewi), has called on Nigerians to embrace justice and equity.
Hon Nsoedo made this call during a special birthday get together organized by his friend for friends and family which held at Bukaa Hut, near Igwe's palace Nnewi.
The former Commissioner noted that the nation's search for peace and equilibrium will continue to be an illusion except Nigerians especially the political leaders vigorously pursue justice and equity.
He said as a matter of fact that a whole lot of tension associated with real and perceived marginalization would become a thing of the past when every section of the nation is given a sense of belonging.
“Equity implies rewarding competency and merit when tapping talents for public sector employments. The federal character principles ought not dominate every lucrative common interest, while it does not seem to apply when one contributes to the common purse.” Hon Nsoedo asserted.
The widely traveled former Commissioner noted that Nigeria as can not willingly put the nation's vehicle on perpetual reverse gear and expect growth and development.
Hon Nsoedo made copious reference to nations of world which have mobilized their diversities for productive purposes.
"Nigeria is so blessed with abundant human and natural resources spread across the country, the biggest challenge facing the country is effective management of the resources without making certain section of the nation feel as if they are second class citizens in a county they have contributed so much to build." He stressed.
The birthday get together was attended by Prince Orji Nwafor-Orizu, Chief Christopher Okafor, Chief Mike Okafor, Chukwuma Chieloka and Hon Uzo Ulasi among others.
