The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye (CP) has paid a working visit to the commercial city of Onitsha on Monday during the sit-at-home order observed in the Southeast.

CP Adeoye during the visit emphasized the importance of residents being law-abiding to maintain a peaceful environment conducive to business activities.

He conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation in the commercial city, particularly engaging with shuttle drivers operating along the Upper Iweka area.

CP Adeoye called on the residents to keep supporting law enforcement by providing credible information to combat crime.

He however urged citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any criminal activities to the nearest police station.

The Anambra State CP also made public the Command’s Control Room Number, ‘07039194332,’ even as he encouraged the public to make intelligent information available.

“We need synergy with the public to effectively perform our duties; we should work as allies,” stressed Adeoye, highlighting the importance of a collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community for enhanced security measures.
