Tributes As Late Acting President Of NULGE, Aromeh Goes Home

TRIBUTES AS LATE ACTING PRESIDENT OF NULGE AROMEH GOES HOME

Christains have been reminded that the world is a battle field where people have the opportunities to win or lose a battle. 


In a sermon at the burial service of the Acting President of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), late Comrade Nicholas Aromeh,held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Igbedor, Anambra West Local Government Area, a Catholic priest Reverend Father Innocent Okonkwo challenged people to fight as soldiers to triumph or risk the chances of being consumed by the unending war as they sleep. 


According to Reverend Father Okonkwo, death is not a bad thing, but a transition, noting that the deceased had the privileged to had fought the war as a Christian and died in the Lord. 


He added that heavenly race is all about individual race, pointing out that the two mysterious things God did for man was the day he was born and the day he died, calling on the people to repent or face the wrath of God in the end.

The man of God maintained that for one to sleep and woke up the next day is enough privilege for people to always appreciate God at all times, stressing the need for Christians to pray always.

The Reverend Father cautioned against negative lifestyle, urging people to always be positive in all the do,stressing that the service was to pray to God to grant the deceased His grace and eternal life.

Speaking on the life and times of the deceased in a press interview soon after the burial mass, the member representing Anambra West constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly,Hon.Patrick Udoba,described late Comrade Nicholas Aromeh as a friend .

He recalled that he contested an election with him in 2018, though the deceased lost, he still showed him a high sense of brotherhood by calling him and congratulated him for his victory at the polls without any intention to challenge the results of the election in law court. 

Also, the Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area,Hon. Fidelis Nnazor, said that the death of late Comrade Aromeh was a terrible loss,stating that the deceased was a vibrant young man and a very close friend of his and consoled the bereaved family not to cry like people without hope,but should build their trust in God as well as uphold their Father's hard earned legacy.

In their separate speeches,the acting President of NULGE in Anambra State, Comrade Chimezie Atueyi and his NLC counterpart,Comrade Humphrey Nwafor, described late Comrade Nicholas Aromeh as a perfect gentleman, humble Comrade and peace loving gentleman as well as somebody who had contributed immensely to the growth of labour movement in Anambra State. 

In a vote of thanks, the son of the deceased ,Mr. Nicholas Aromeh Junior ,thanked the leaderships of Anambra State NULGE, NLC, Member presenting Anambra West in the State House of Assembly,Hon. Udoba,Mayor Anambra West,Hon. Nnazor among others for identifying with them in their mourning moment.

Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been laid to rest in his compound at Okenera village, Igbedor, Olumbanasa in Anambra West Local Government Area
