It was a gathering for reflection as who is who in Anambra State academic and royal class, assembled at the Professor Kenneth Dike Library Awka, to celebrate one of the literally giants of the international standing and a first class traditional ruler in the State, Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike, Ikelionwu xi of Ndikelionwu.

The 2025 edition of the celebration of Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike was the 5th after his demise. It was organized in collaboration between the Nigerian Book Foundation, Anambra State Ministry of Education, Association of Nigeria Authors and Anambra State Council of National Union of Journalist.

In the celebration which featured performances from school children in Anambra State, speaker after speaker eulogized Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike, Ikelionwu xi of Ndikelionwu, for his numerous contributions to the reshaping of the society through literally works. 

Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who spoke on the topic, "the Chukwuemeka Ike I know and Remember" said that Ike made his works the products of a genius by making effective use of Igbo materials.

Earlier, the keynote speaker, Prof. Chike Okoye from English department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, ex-rayed the works of the giant, charging students to go through them and see how Prof. Ike had artistically, used his experiences to expose the origin and evils of examination malpractice in his book "Expo 77".

Chairman, Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Chidubem Iweka III of Obosi, appreciated Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike for his legacies which have provided another platform for the knowledge enrichment of the participants in the 2025 celebration.

Chairman on the occasion, Chief Dr Ebuka Onunkwo said Ike was being celebrated for his legacies, urging participants to emulate him by living a good life for which they would be remembered.

Co-President of the Nigerian Book Foundation, Prof. Chinyere Okunna had earlier in a welcome remarks appreciated all participants for making the celebration "Remembering Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike" 2025 a reality.
