A special thanksgiving service was on Thursday organized for the paramount Traditional Ruler of Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State, HRH Igwe Dr Kenneth Orizu 111, who clocked one hundred years.

The Bishop of Ogbaru Anglican Communion Rt. Rev. Prosper Afamuefuna Amah while preaching on the topic "Centuries of God faithfulness" noted that what matters in the life of a person is impact made while alive and not the longevity of existence.

Bishop Amah who took his Bible reading from Proverbs 13:22, pointed out that it is not the length of days on earth that matters but that of a purposeful and impactful life style..

He said that it is unfortunate that many individuals focused majorly on properties and perishable values rather than concentrating on what matters most in life.

Bishop Amah in a special way, thanked God for Igwe Dr KON Orizu 111 for living an. impactful life worthy of emulation noting that the Almighty God in a special way has made the Nnewi monarch a fulfilled personality.

"The highly esteemed Igwe Orizu has is celebrating a hundred years of maximum impact, he is very rich in humility,.this particular trait is worthy of emulation. He is an accomplished personality who has become text books for many to study while still alive,.hale and hearty," Bishop Amah observed.

The prelate later led a special prayer session for Igwe KON Orizu 111 and the eminent personalities who were at his palace for centenary celebration of the living legend, Igwe Dr Kenneth Orizu.

He tasked all and sundry to borrow a leaf from Igwe Orizu 111 who is a symbol of humility, honesty and faithfulness by beginning to live impactful life.

Obi of Obiofia Nnewichi-Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA, Chief Apostle Chukwunoye Onyejuluwu Obi Madukaejiaka, Eze Ozo Orazurume who in company of his beautiful wife, presented a giant centenary birthday cake to HRH, Igwe KON Orizu 111.
Obi Madukaejiaka poured encomiums on the living legend, Igwe KON Orizu who he described as a trai blazer noting that Igwe Nnewi has created indelible foot print in the sand of time.

He congratulated all the people of Anaedo for being blessed with an honest, and God fearing Monarch who has set a standard very difficult for any other mortal to equal or surpass.

Igwe KON Orizu 111 who was born on 30th October,1925, holds the record of being the longest reigning Traditional Ruler in Africa.

The special thanksgiving service for Igwe KON Orizu was attended by Obi Uruagu-Nnewi, Chief Obi Afam, Obi Nnewichi-Nnewi Chief George Onyekaba, former Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North, Chief Pat Ubajiaka, Chairman Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Jude Osumuo, PG Nnewichi-Nnewi, Chief Soge Egbuna and other eminent personalities.

Also in attendence were priests of Anglican Communion from far and near.
