FRSC records increase in arrests, convictions, installs 21 solar-powered lights in Anambra

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra state has recorded increase in arrests and Conviction System bookings in the state.

Sector Commander CC Bridget Asekhauno disclosed this while hosting Assistant Corps Marshal (Operations) Hyginus Omeje who was in her office on a courtesy visit.

The visit was part of Omeje's Operation Zero initiative and monitoring efforts, aimed at aligning with the FRSC's Strategic Goals for 2026.

Asekhauno highlighted other achievements of the Command to include installation of 21 solar-powered street lights and repair of operational vehicles.

She however requested support for personnel transfer and posting, as well as the provision of an official operational vehicle.

Responding, ACM Omeje said the essence of the visit was to build officer capacity, reinforce FRSC's humanitarian duties, and align with the 2026 strategic goals.

He emphasized that all FRSC personnel are operational staff and should be effectively utilized. 

He stressed the importance of rescue operations and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
