Awka : Obiorah Anthony Ugwonwa
The Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Sir Engr. Levi Ugochukwu Obiaduo, has described the March 17th, 2026 inauguration ceremony of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's second term in office and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim as not just historic, but also epoch-making event in annals of the State.
The Secretary, who was speaking during a chat with newsmen in his office at the APGA National Zonal Office in Awka, maintained that the party had done it again in Anambra State back to back, adding that they did it during Peter Obi, Chief Willie Obiano, and this time again, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
"So it has been a history that APGA is in Anambra State, and it has come to stay in Anambra", he said.
"What matters in Governance, and legacy is all about consolidation, not just building, we believe in consolidation, and I believe that Oluatuegwu Anambra knows it all."
He added that this time around, the Governor has mentioned having more airports, railways, and consolidating on already achievements made by his administration on infrastructure in the state, stating that he believed that Governor Soludo will no doubt deliver the above mentioned projects and every other ones his administration is doing in the state within the next four years.
"On no account will the oppositions be happy with you, so it is very obvious, even in your family, when you offend you wife, she became your rival, and at that moment, she can't be happy with you. There is no way everybody will be happy, especially people of negative perceptions."
According to him, in Anambra State, Ndi-Anambra had believed in what Mr Governor is doing, pointing that he thought that the Governor is doing marvously well in all ramifications in the State.
"Even the poor, the aged, the rich, in fact everybody loves what he is doing in the State, except some political aggrandized rivals, whom he said that believed everything must be done the way they want it, but that was not what God said.
He reminded such people that the door of the party in the state is wide open, and advised them to take the advantage of the on-going registration exercise both electronic, and physical to join APGA and be happy.
"When you are not on the fence, you are not on top of the fence, and you are not in the compound, you will not be happy. So I advise them to join APGA, and benefit from what other people are benefiting in the State", Obiaduo advised.
He noted that the membership registration and revalidation exercise of the party at the kindred, ward, local government, and state levels is going on smoothly, calling on the people who have not registered to go, and register, especially now the door is open for everybody in the state.
The Secretary, maintained that this time around, the new electoral law, permits that all the political parties in the country should get their members registered in both electronic and paper devices, that is according to him in both soft, and hard copies, urging the eligible individuals who have not registered to go at their wards, and do same, and transmit it online.
"So, I advise everybody to go, and register, and became a member of APGA, because already in Anambra State, if you want to do politics, and you are not in APGA, you don't mean business," he said.
