Opinion Poll: Obiogbolu Leads With Wide Margin Ahead Of APGA Primary Election

A recent independent opinion poll conducted by Sunrise Media has revealed that Dr. Alex Obiogbolu is currently the leading choice among members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra North Senatorial Zone ahead of the party’s senatorial primary election.
The poll, which sampled opinions across the seven local government areas in Anambra North, assessed the popularity and acceptability of leading aspirants seeking the party’s ticket to represent the zone in the Senate.
According to the report, Obiogbolu emerged clearly ahead of other contenders, including Senator Stella Oduah, Chief John Emeka and Chief Primus Odili.

Respondents cited Obiogbolu’s loyalty to the party, accessibility, grassroots connection and longstanding relationship with party stakeholders as major reasons for their preference. Many also pointed to his close working relationship with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, describing him as a trusted ally who understands the Governor’s development vision for Anambra State.
The report further noted that respondents expressed confidence in Obiogbolu’s capacity to provide effective representation, strengthen party unity and attract meaningful development projects to Anambra North.
Several party members interviewed during the poll reportedly described him as “the bridge between the party leadership and the grassroots,” insisting that his emergence would boost APGA’s chances in the general election.
Sunrise Media concluded that the outcome of the poll reflects the growing momentum behind Obiogbolu’s aspiration across Anambra North Senatorial Zone.
